2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.”
It was reported this week that legendary Rock 'N' Roll idol David Bowie has
died at age 69. “David Bowie” was David Jones' stage name. I have searched the internet for articles pertaining to what David
“Bowie” Jones (1947-2016) believed about religion. I found some disturbing articles that said Mr. Bowie
“experimented with Christianity.” I found a video of him praying the Lord's
Prayer in a concert.
As I will evidence to you in a moment, David Jones desired a Buddhist funeral. I found a quote where Mr. Bowie said, “I'm not quite an atheist.” Clearly, Bowie wasn't a professed atheist, but neither was he a professed Christian. If he rejected Jesus Christ as God, then David Bowie effectively was an atheist. Jesus Christ is almighty God, which truth if you deny, you don't believe in the true and living God, Who has manifested Himself to the world through the Son. 1st Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
Sadly, I do not believe that David Bowie went to Heaven. There's no public profession of his faith in Jesus Christ. Yet, only God and David know where he went. I read in the January 30, 2016 BBC news that Mr. Bowie left $100,000,000 in his will to his loved ones. 1st Timothy 6:7, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” David Jones left behind every single penny that he ever amassed during his earthly life. What a sad thing! Mr. Jones died with NOTHING! Tragically, he died and left this world without Jesus Christ.
The same BBC News article also reveals that David Bowie in 2004 specified in his will that he wanted to be buried in accordance with Buddhist rituals in Bali...
“In the will, written in 2004, Bowie asked that he be cremated in Bali but if that was 'not practical,' then his ashes be scattered there anyway 'in accordance with the Buddhist rituals.'”

Buddhism is a satanic false religion that denies Jesus as the Christ, the only begotten Son of God. There are an estimated 300,000,000 Buddhists throughout the world today. Biblically, all Buddhists are going straight to burn in Hell when they die, because they will die in their sins without Christ as their Savior (Revelation 20:15; John 8:24). The Holy Bible proclaims in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The Bible teaches that only by trusting Christ's death on the cross for our sins, and His burial, and resurrection three days later (aka, “the Gospel,” 1st Corinthians 15:1-4) can any person have eternal life. There is no other way to be saved and escape the wrath of God the Father in Hell (Acts 4:10-12).
In sharp contrast to the Word of God, Buddhism teaches that there is no personal Creator, that is, one true and living God. According to Buddhism, the highest state of spiritual enlightenment (called “Nirvana”) cannot be reached unless a person abandons the idea of ONE, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, all-present, individual, God and Creator...

Therefore, Buddhism is not compatible with Biblical Christianity!!! Jesus Christ is my God and Savior, in Whom I completely trust for eternal life, genuine peace and abundant blessing!!! Thank you Lord Jesus, I love you!!! There is no other God. If you want to come to the only true and living God of the universe, then YOU MUST come through believing on the Son of God, Jesus, the true Messiah. As John 14:6 says, Jesus is THE ONLY WAY to the Father. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Believe the Gospel and you will have eternal life!!!
I did not write this article to be unkind. I am sad when anyone dies in their sins without the Lord. There is no indication that David Bowie went to Heaven. If he trusted in Buddhism, which is a satanic substitute for the Gospel, then it is guaranteed Mr. Jones is now being tormented in the fires of Hell beneath (Luke 16:19-31). Bowie's life was characterized by sexual immorality and bizarre behavior. As evidenced in the preceding hyperlink, it is commonly reported that David Bowie met his first wife while both dating the same man. Certainly, God is a wondrous God Who pardoneth iniquity, no matter how deep the stain of sin has gone. But the Scriptures make very clear that God's offer of pardon and justification are only possible on the basis of Christ's sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Jesus paid our debt of sin. If you go to Hell, you're the fool who let the Devil trick you, or lead you astray by the riches, pleasures and cares of this temporal world.
The ungodly heathen world assumes
that everyone goes to Heaven, which according to their thinking must also include
Christ-rejecters like Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Judas, Herod Agrippa, Nero and Julius Caesar. It is not my
place to say who went to Heaven or Hell. When a person boldly denies Jesus
Christ as the Savior, as did Steve Jobs of Apple (who was a devout
Buddhist), there is little doubt where they went. Unless Steve Jobs
had a miraculous deathbed conversion, there is every indication that he went
straight to Hell to burn. That is a horrible thing to say, I know, let alone
to believe, but it is Biblical according to 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9 and
Revelation 20:15. Jesus said, “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!” (John 3:3).
The Lamb's Book Of Life
David Bowie by all indication went to Hell. Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Since salvation can never be lost, that can only mean that everyone's name is automatically written in the Lamb's Book Of Life at birth. When a person consciously rejects Jesus Christ, their name is removed. This is why we read in Revelation 3:5, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” There you have it, right from the Scriptures. This is why all children go to Heaven, because their name's are written in the Book of Life.
We learn that to deliberately
CORRUPT the Holy Scriptures is effectively the same as rejecting Jesus Christ
as one's Savior. Revelation 22:19, “And if any man shall take away from the
words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his
part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from
the things which are written in this book.” Remember, Jesus is the Living
Word (Revelation 19:13), and the Bible is the Written Word (John 1:1-3). It is
through the Written Word that we discover the Living Word (John 5:39).
David Bowie Almost Assuredly Went To Hell
When David Bowie lived, he had a whopping net worth of $230,000,000. What good is all that money now? When the rich man died in Luke 16:19-31, he went straight to Hell, suffering in torment, flames, thirst, loneliness and frustration. While enjoying his wealth on earth, the rich man didn't give his eternal destiny a second thought (just as most rich people don't). Unfortunately, after realizing his horrifying fate just seconds after dying in his sleep, it was too late!!! Every atheist becomes a believer immediately the very moment they pass into eternity and feel the fires of Hell. There are no atheists in Hell. I guarantee you that David (Bowie) Jones is no longer a Buddhist. He now realizes what a fool he is, for selling his soul to the Devil, but it's TOO LATE for him!!!
I guarantee you that David Bowie is anything but an atheist right now! Everyone wants to become a Christian when they get to Hell, but it's too late. ...
Luke 16:27-31, “Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
The rich man in Hell's fire pleaded with Abraham to send Lazarus from the dead, to warn them about Hell. But Abraham told the rich man that if people won't listen to the Words of God, and the man of God who preaches the Word of God, then they won't be convinced even if a zombie came back from the dead!!! I've heard unsaved people oftentimes downplay the Word of God, saying that it is not enough to convince them, but that's all God is going to give them. If people today won't listen to the plain Words of God in the Holy Bible, then they are hopelessly doomed forever!!! I would like to believe that everyone goes to Heaven, but it's simply not true if the Bible is true. All Christ-rejecters go to Hell, and that includes religious people who only place partial faith in Christ plus something else (e.g., human effort, turning from sinful behavior, works, sacraments, water baptism, et cetera). Whether David Bowie went to Hell or Heaven is not my place to say for certain. I don't know David's heart. It's always possible that someone can receive Christ on their deathbed, but I seriously doubt it in David Bowie's case. If he had become a born-again Christian at any point, no doubt he would have not requested a heathen Buddhist burial. The most important thing, and the reason for which I wrote this article, is to make sure that YOU are saved. It's not too late for YOU! Please get saved while you still can. Here's how! END
