Fear Not: Ye Have Done All This Wickedness

1st Samuel 12:20, “And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;”

       I was listening to the Old Testament book of 1st Samuel today, and this passage of Scripture spoke to my heart. There are some wonderful truths to be gleaned from this Scripture passage, but first please let me quote it to you...

1st Samuel 12:19-25, “And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king. And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain. For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.”

The people of God demanded a king over them from Samuel. The prophet warned them repeatedly that it wasn't a good idea. Samuel said 6 times: “HE WILL TAKE” (1st Samuel 8:11-17). That is what secular government does—THEY TAKE your wealth through taxation (which is nothing less than massive criminal theft in the United States), THEY TAKE your children to die in war through the draft, THEY TAKE your home and property through eminent domain, THEY TAKE your jobs and wealth and give it to foreign nations, THEY TAKE your children and wealth to wage illegal wars, THEY TAKE your liberties through oppressive legislation and police state methods, et cetera.
 

There is True Liberty Through Faith in Jesus Christ

Ah, but the Lord our God gives men true liberty and freedom through faith! 2nd Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” If you read the surrounding text in this beautiful passage, you will learn that this Bible verse is talking about “liberty” from the bondage of the Old Testament LAW. 2nd Corinthians 3:14, “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.” The unsaved person is in BONDAGE; but the redeemed child of God (through faith alone in Christ) has complete LIBERTY. A man may spend all his remaining earthly days confined in prison for a crime, but if he has been born anew by the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, he has eternal LIBERTY!

Likewise, a man may be as free as a dove gliding through the air, but if he knows not Christ, he is in bondage to sin, still hellbound in unbelief. John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” At my mother's funeral in 2001, the following Scripture passage was read. Revelation 14:13, “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” So you see by comparing these two passages of Scripture friend, that you can either: DIE IN YOUR SINS or DIE IN THE LORD. I will die in the Lord one day, how about you? That is why the psalmist exclaimed in Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”

I was looking through some old boxes this week, and found my little brother's Funeral Guest Book that my Mom saved. My brother's name is Paul Solomon Stewart. He was born in November of 1971 and died in September of 1974, several weeks before his third birthday. He died from heart failure due to pneumonia. He's buried in Skokie, Illinois in Memorial Park. I look forward to meeting my brother in Heaven. ALL BABIES GO TO HEAVEN!!! Amen! I remember when my brother died, that my father wept on his knees in prayer, crying out: “Why God, why?” I was only 7-years-old, but I remember that. My heart was encouraged this week, as I read the Bible verse chosen for my brother's Funeral Guest Book—Titus 2:13, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Oh yes, it will be glorious! Our blessed Savior's return draweth more nigh each and every passing day.

Are you ready Freddie my friend? Are you at peace with God? Did you know that YOU CANNOT MAKE PEACE WITH GOD? That is correct, you CANNOT make peace with God. Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Only Jesus Christ can make peace between man and God, through FAITH in the only begotten Son of God.

Saturating Our Life With the Inspired Eternal Words of God

Only Jesus Christ can make peace between man and God. That is why we read in 1st Timothy 2:5-6, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” I love that Bible verse; I used to see it hanging on the Rescue Mission wall. My father hung a bunch of Bible verses painted on framed wood on the walls, which I strongly recommend to all my web visitors. Get those Bible verses up on your walls!!! ...

Deuteronomy 6:5-9, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”

Boy I love that! Folks, this Bible passage and truth will change your life if you take heed. We think what we see! I love everybody because I choose to think love toward everybody. I love all my neighbours, no matter what. I pray for them every day. I love people with God's unconditional love. We all ought to write Bible verses and hang them all around us! Your children need to see and read Bible verses, getting them into their HEART. I am proud of my youngest daughter, she has Bible verses handwritten on the walls of her home. THAT IS AWESOME!!! The Word of God says to TEACH the commandments of God, and to TALK about the Bible everywhere we go (while walking, going to sleep and waking up), and to saturate our entire mind, heart and life with the inspired Holy Scriptures!!! OH HOW WE NEED JESUS, WHO IS THE INCARNATE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-3, 14; Revelation 19:13)!!! If you want to think like God, then you need to get the Word of God into your mind.

I have been wanting to start a project for a long time. Home Depot sells wood-burning kits for well under $100. I want to cut a bunch of small boards, sand them, and engrave Bible verses into them, then use a propane torch to flame the wood and varnish it to make it look really nice, then give them away. I think that would be a great hobby for someone, if you are reading this! The great need today (THE GREATEST OF ALL) is to saturate children's lives with the King James Bible, which is the inspired Word of God!!! Stay away from these modern PERversions of the Bible, which read like comic books! Thank God for the time-tested, trustworthy, uncompromising, soulwinner's, offensive, in your face, inspired—King James Bible!!!!!!!

If you desire to learn to play a particular musical instrument, the best thing to do is to LISTEN to lots of recordings of that instrument, and the particular tuning you desire to play (if there are multiple tunings). By doing this, you get the sounds into your mind, which is very important to recreate them on your own instrument. I love the steel guitar! I use my pedal steel guitar for Country music, and my lap steel guitar for Hawaiian music. I have been depressed for a long time, years in fact, because I cannot find a Christian woman to marry. My heart is very lonely for companionship, but my blessed Savior is my reason for living, my all-sustaining God and Savior! I have felt emotional lately, overwhelmed with God's love and a desire to make everything right in my life, to find a church family. But then I always realize and remember that I cannot make things right in my life, which is why Christ went to the cross, so He could make everything right! I LOVE MY SAVIOR AND HIS PRECIOUS NAME IS JESUS!!!

For no particular reason, I felt happy last night, rejoicing for God's goodness toward a woeful sinner like me, and I played my Hawaiian steel guitar along with this song, “My Yellow Ginger Lei.” It is such a pretty song. When I visited Honolulu for the first time in 2007, I got lost while driving and by chance found Waikiki Beach (which I saw for the first time), and I'll never forget hearing the song: “My Yellow Ginger Lei” at the same time, sang by Dennis Pavao. I made a website all about the Hawaiian steel guitar, which perhaps you'd like to visit. I literally called the radio station in Oahu to ask who sang that song, and they kindly told me; so I went right away to 'Harry's Music Store' (where Jerry Byrd used to teach steel guitar) to buy the CD. Oahu is so beautiful, the land of rainbows, and a place I hope to take my future wife (God willing). I've even often thought of moving there, just for the music, and did move to Hilo for a month (I almost stayed in 2013); but it is expensive, understandably because everyone and their dog desires to live there! But ultimately, Hawaii is just another place; life is what you make it!!! Guam is a poor man's paradise, as it is often called, much less congested, less commercialized, and the people are more friendly (I humbly think). Albeit, that “Aloha spirit” is only found in Hawaii. I love the place! Hawaii is overrun by tourists and highly overrated in my humble opinion. When I visited Oahu three times, I literally saw homeless people laying on inflatable air-mattresses along Waikiki Beach drive. Oh, the music!!!

Guam is more primitive, undisturbed by man, and the people of Guam are friendly. The islanders are humble, but sensitive, caring people. Lord willing, I pray for God to restore my desire to play my steel guitar more often, for I have allowed depression to devour my life. My constant toothache-like neck pain gets me down, but I am so thankful and blessed not to have the health afflictions that so many people have. We are all so undeserving of God's love, goodness and mercy. Psalm 107:1-2, “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;” I sure need God's help every day!!!

God Still Has a Purpose for Even the Worst Christians (Like Me)

I love what the prophet Samuel said to the people. 1st Samuel 12:20, “And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;” Samuel challenged the people to KEEP ON KEEPING ON FOR GOD!!! I love that! No matter what sins and failures you've made in life, our forgiving God still wants to use you. The holy God of the inspired King James Bible is a God of SECOND CHANCES. Jonah 3:1, “And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,” Isn't that precious?! I thank God that He gives us a bunch of chances, because a knucklehead like me needs a bunch of them!!! Proverb 24:16, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”

One of my favorite sermons by Pastor Jack Hyles is called: “God's Army Only Uses Wounded Soldiers” (MP3, Dr. Hyles; Help those who are where you were!). Although God desires for every believer to become “FISHERS OF MEN” (Matthew 4:19), the Lord never intended for churches to become spiritual aquariums! Everyone ought to be welcome in the local Bible-believing church! The church ought not be treated like a card-carrying country club, for select members only. In Acts 2:41, there were 3,000 people gloriously saved and automatically ADDED to the local church. Carefully notice that there was no probationary period to examine the lives of those 3,000 converts, before determining that THEY WERE IN FACT DEEMED “SAVED”! Anyone who admits they are a guilty sinner in God's sight, and places their reliance in the “GOOD NEWS” of Jesus Christ crucified on the cross, buried and bodily risen the third day is SAVED!!!

Time is precious dear reader! Our lives are nothing more than two dates and a vapor! Anybody can quit, but God's grace is stronger than any challenge that we will face in life. Faith is like film, it develops in the dark! I learned long ago to be careful about praying for God to increase my faith, because only darkness can develop film! By God's wondrous grace, I don't plan to ever quit. Evangelist Lester Roloff rightly said:

The Bible is full of examples of tremendously sinful saints, who did really bad things, but God always forgave and gave them another chance. Noah went from being the captain of his ship, to being a drunken sailor. Abraham lied. Sarah laughed at the promise of God. Samson was a whoremonger. Solomon was a pervert. Rehoboam was just like his perverse father, marrying 78 wives (I just want 1) and having 88 children. David was an adulterer and murderer. Jeremiah was a quitter. Jonah fled God's will. Isaiah had a filthy mouth of unclean lips. Jacob was a deceiving liar and thief. Rebekah was a manipulator. Isaac was stubborn to do God's will. Peter was naked in public when the Lord found him, after resurrecting from the dead. Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit, going back on a promise. Demas forsook the ministry, abandoning the apostle Paul in his time of need, having loved this present world. Peter succumbed to peer pressure, refusing to eat with the Gentiles when the Pharisees were around. On and on I could go, mentioning the SINS OF THE SAINTS!!! And we could just as easily add our personal testimonies to the Hall of Shame collection: “FOR ALL HAVE SINNED...” (Romans 3:23a). Thank God for the sin-cleansing precious BLOOD OF JESUS! (1st Peter 1:18-19)!!!

God didn't give us the Old Testament merely to show us the sins, frailties and failures of the saints; but to TEACH US (Romans 15:4) that God still lovingly used them for His purpose and glory, and directed their lives according to His preordained divine will (Romans 8:28), despite their numerous faults and weaknesses. God does the same with us today! God only had one Son without sin, but He never had a son without suffering! I love this Scripture passage! ...

Psalm 103:8-15, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.”

Life is so short. I am so glad that I have found THE TRUTH of the Gospel. WHAT A TREASURE!!!
 

The Devil is 'The Accuser of the Brethren'

God hates accusing! Revelations 12:10, “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” The Devil is an accuser! The closer you get to God, the closer you are getting to Satan, because God's throne is where the Devil hangs out! Pastor Danny Castle made that eye-opening truthful statement in his helpful sermon called: “You Can't Trust Your Feelings.” Satan accuses Christians, not the heathen world, but “THE BRETHREN”!!! That is exactly what the ungodly world does. Type in Pastor Jack Hyles' good name on Wikipedia and you'll see that they demonize him like a monster; but if you type in the scum of the earth Van Halen rock singer's name, David Lee Roth, the information is all good. Humbly said (for we are all sinners), David Lee Roth is an admitted sexual degenerate, who has fornicated his whole life (never married) with literally THOUSANDS of women. Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) influenced millions of people's lives for the Lord Jesus Christ, and gave away nearly everything he ever owned. But you see, David Lee Roth spent his life “Running With The Devil,” while Dr. Jack Hyles spent his life Walking With God.

I thank God for His love, mercy and grace. There but for the grace of God go I! May I kindly say: Don't judge others because they sin differently than you do! I judge no man, but I do humbly preach the Word of God as a sinner. I am listening to the King James Bible as I work. I just heard this awesome Scripture from 1st Samuel 24:9, “And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?” What a great Bible verse! David asked Saul why he was listening to rumors from men, who were making false accusations! Boy that is pertinent for today!!! May I say with brotherly love... SHUT UP!!! I am so sick of rumors. I heard a Baptist preacher recently say that he “KNOWS” another accused preacher is guilty, based upon circumstantial evidence! Oh really? I didn't know that some preachers are omniscient (all-knowing). Listen to me, unless you were there and actually saw somebody do something, YOU DON'T “KNOW”! Circumstantial evidence is not proof! It is wise to believe none of what you HEAR, and only half of what you SEE!!! Proverb 10:12, “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.”

Joseph was alone in Potiphar's house with his Potiphar's adulterous wife, and it looked like he was guilty when she accused him of raping her, and he was convicted and throw into prison (likely for 12 years); but Joseph was innocent. Anybody can say anything about anyone, but that doesn't make it true. The ungodly American newsmedia are manure-spreaders, accusers and home-wreckers! The media can whitewash or demonize anybody they so choose...

Life is too short to spent it listening to stinking theological garbage from Bob Jones University, and the filth from the ungodly manure-spreading newsmedia. Let them wallow in their own vomit! I intentionally don't keep up with much news (Philippians 4:8-9). I love you dear friend, and I don't get paid to do what I do—TRUTH MATTERS!
 

The World is the Christian's Sworn Enemy

 James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

As believers the world is our enemy. There is no middle ground! You are either on God's side, or the world's side. The world accept and love their own (John 15:19), but the world reject anybody who professes that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to the Father (John 14:6). What exactly is “the world”? I know most people think it is a big globe, and it is; but “THE WORLD” means something entirely different in the Holy Scriptures. I remembered a quote today (particularly the last paragraph) that I first read while in Bible college, many years ago, that has stuck with me over time. The following helpful quote is by Pastor Edward M. Bounds (1835-1913)...

“The Gospel is represented as a training school in which denying worldly desires is one part of its curriculum.

Titus 2:11-14, 'For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.'

There is something in the world that makes it a deadly enemy to the salvation of Christ and that poisons us against heaven.

What is 'the world'?

What is this 'world' that so effectually alienates us from Heaven and puts us in flagrant enmity with God? Why is it that our friendship with the world violates our wedding vow to God? Why is it that love of the world is enmity with God and criminal to the most abominable degree? What are 'the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16)?”

'The world' includes the mass of humanity that is alienated from God and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ. It involves worldly affairs, earthly things, riches, pleasures, and pursuits that are shallow, frail, and fleeting. These things stir desire, draw us away from God, and are obstacles to the cause of Christ. The divorced or torn relationships between heaven and earth, between God and His creatures, finds its expression in the term 'the world.'”

So you see friend, you don't have to forsake “the world,” nor “turn away from sins,” to be saved; but rather, these things  alienate humanity from God, hindering the unregenerate man from coming to the light of the Gospel to be saved. What saith the Scripture? John 3:20, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” Truly, the Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible!

Here again is the prolific latter part of that great quote from Pastor E.M. Bounds, and this is the part which I so vividly remember:

What a great explanation! I agree wholeheartedly with Joshua, who said: “BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD” (Joshua 24:15b). Good stuff Maynard!!!

The Good And the Right Way

I love the prophet Samuel, a true man of God. 1st Samuel 12:23-25, “Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.” That's what God's man does—he teaches others THE GOOD AND THE RIGHT WAY! For a church pastor to promote more than one English Bible translation is THE BAD AND WRONG WAY!! God only authored ONE HOLY BIBLE!!!

The wicked person is unwittingly the servant of sin the Bible says. John 8:34, “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” 2nd Timothy 2:26, “And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” Oh, how sin thrills and then it kills! Sin fascinates and then it assassinates! SIN IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!!! People think they are “FREE” (e.g., Hugh Hefner, Anton LaVey and Elvis Presley, to name but a few liberal free-thinkers), but they were all SLAVES to the sin that destroyed their lives!!!

The man of God Samuel said in 1st Samuel 12:24, “Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” I am amazed every time I go to the grocery store—when I see all the different colored bell peppers, ripe tomatoes, delicious yellow onions, wonderful smelly garlic, succulent fresh red Carna Asada beef, whole button mushrooms, new potatoes (I just listed my stir-fry ingredients)—I praise and thank my God, for only a good and omnipotent Creator could give us such blessings!!! What idiot invented the LIES of Evolution? History attributes the bogus unproven theories of Evolution to an atheist numskull named Voltaire! WHAT A FOOLISH MAN!!!

Dear reader, the Word of God teaches us THE GOOD AND THE RIGHT WAY!!! The Day Will Come When Every Person Will Say, “The Preacher Was Right!” That is because God's Word is right!!! Psalm 107:31, “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Do you praise God for His goodness? I sure do! God is Good always; always God is good!!! One of the most famous actors in Hollywood history is Robert De Niro (born 1943). In Mr. De Niro's biography, he is quoted making the following blasphemous statement . . . 

“If there is a God he has a lot to answer for.”

Oh really? What an arrogant statement! What a horrible thing to say. Who is Robert De Niro to hold God accountable? Who is any man to demand answers from his Creator? Who is mankind to indict a holy God? It is man's desperately wicked and deceitful heart that has ruined civilization. It is our greed in America that has refused to help the poor and needy. It is our lack of walking with a holy God as believers, that has quenched the fiery passion for truth and righteousness in our souls. Jeremiah 17:9-10, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Mankind is depraved and scandalous. It is man who must answer to God; and not God to man. We are the WOEFUL GUILTY SINNERS!!! Psalm 107:31, “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”
 

Our Good God Desires for All Men to Repent to Be Saved

By the way, it is that very GOODNESS of God that leads men to repentance (a beautiful MP3 sermon by Pastor Jack Hyles). What saith the Scripture? ...

Romans 2:1-4, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”

This Scripture passage doesn't mean what most people think it means. The phrase “THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADETH TO REPENTANCE” doesn't mean that people will repent (change their mind) if God is good to them (spoiled Americans treat God like garbage); but rather, it is God's GOODNESS in holy character that compels humanity to repent. 1st John 4:19, “We love him, because he first loved us.” If every man truly realized just how much God LOVES HIM, I believe all men would repent and come to the Savior to be born-again! Nothing drives the masses farther away from God than ungodly greedy Tv preachers! The lost world is dying for sincere Christians who are real. John 13:35, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” There is very little love in churches today! When professed Christians hold to their errors—their grudge holding against other Christians, their Satanic Lordship Salvation, their dozens of counterfeit Bible versions, their low moral standards, their emphasis on financial prosperity over spiritual growth, their treatment of the local church as a select member-only Country Club instead of a hospital for sinners—they do not shew forth God's love for one another, and in so doing shame the cause and name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Have I rang your church's cracked bell dear reader?

Boy, that is great stuff! I wish I knew the magic words to convince all people everywhere that God loves them, and that there is no joy in the world like knowing the blessed indwelling Holy Spirit, and knowing that one's name is written in Heaven in the Lamb's Book of Life, and knowing the unspeakable joy that comes from abiding in the promises of God BY FAITH in the inspired Holy Scriptures. Truly, we as Christians possess heavenly treasures in earthen vessels—THE GOSPEL truth, and the beautiful accompanying indwelling Holy Spirit, Who is GOD WITH US!!! I encourage you to learn all about the blessed Holy Spirit, which Pastor Jack Hyles explains using the Holy Bible in his helpful book: “MEET THE HOLY SPIRIT.”

I will close with a final mention of our text Bible verse from 1st Samuel 12:20, “And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;” What a beautiful truth! I love that God doesn't throw away people when they falter. When the adulterous woman was dragged before Christ in John chapter 8 (caught in “the very act”), the Lord did not condemn her, but His only focus was on this present moment, saying: “GO AND SIN NO MORE”! Whatever sins you have done in the past friend is water under the bridge, a done deal, it is history; people will condemn you for the rest of your life, and God knew that they would, which is why He says in Romans 8:34, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” The implied answer to the preceding question is—NO ONE CAN CONDEMN A CHRISTIAN!!!

The prophet Samuel encouraged the people, who had grievously sinned against God, by saying in 1st Samuel 12:20-21 and 24, “Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain. ...Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” And I say to you dear reader, that despite the failures and sins in your life, DON'T STOP LIVING FOR GOD!! DON'T TURN ASIDE FROM SERVING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!! Please notice those all-important precious two words that I so often mention, “IN TRUTH”!!! Jesus said in John 4:24 that God can only be worshipped “IN TRUTH” (read it for yourself). Romans 3:4, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” All the religious worship in the world means nothing if THE TRUTH is not upheld (Mark 7:7-13).
