woe is unto me, if I preach not
the gospel!”
I am sick and tired of hearing about “ministries” that do everything except
preach the Gospel. Check online and you will find
dental
ministries, medical
ministries, skateboard ministries,
cooking ministries and, (Oh boy!)
even a horse taming ministry!!!
Yet, I triple-dog dare you to show me the Gospel on even one of these
websites. I could literally show you hundreds of such lame websites, to
everything from
gardening
ministries to animal ministries! Here's a
carpentry ministry!!! OK you get the point!
Good luck finding the Gospel on any of those webpages!!!
My friend, what good is a so-called “ministry” if the Good News (i.e., Gospel) of the Lord Jesus Christ is not being preached? No one can be saved without the Gospel. Carpentry won't save anyone! Caring for animals won't get anyone into Heaven. Repairing people's teeth won't redeem their soul. A skateboard ministry? Are you serious? Where's the Gospel? WHERE'S THE GOSPEL??? A cooking ministry? The only thing cooking, will be the unsaved souls that burn in the Lake of Fire!!! I didn't even mention ridiculous music ministries, which exist by the thousands.
It is a beautiful thing for anyone to desire and labor to help others in Jesus' name. I commend dentists and doctors who give of their time and resources freely, to help the poor. I can understand someone wanting to start a skateboard ministry to reach youth. It gets kind of weird with the horse taming thing, but OK, why not? But my friend, without the preaching of the Gospel all is in vain!!! I couldn't find the Gospel on any of the websites I shared with you, not one! Do they even try to get people saved? It doesn't appear so, otherwise they say so. What is wrong with Christians today? I'll tell you, first, many of them are not genuine born-again Christians.
I heard something very sad years ago on an LP Christian record. I once heard the lead singer of the Christian music group, 'The Four Galileans,' say that they didn't have enough time to preach the Gospel to the audience, so he said he'd sing it to them instead. He said that on their record LP!!! WHAT A SAD TESTIMONY!!! Here's the article I wrote refuting the comment. I love the music of the Four Galileans, but I don't believe for even one second, that they didn't have 60 seconds of time to tell their fans how to get to Heaven!!! I know bull when I hear it! If you've got time enough to sing in the Lord's name, then you've got time enough to take one or two minutes to share the Good News of Calvary's cross. I preach to myself as well. We've all failed at times to share the Gospel with the lost. Can we not take a few moments to share the Gospel of the precious Savior, the One to Whom the wind and the waves obeyed His voice? Matthew 8:27, “But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” That was God my friend... almighty God in the flesh (1st Timothy 3:16 - All references ONLY to King James Bible)!!!
How long does it take to tell someone that they are a sinner according to the holy Bible (Romans 3:23)? How long does it take to tell people that there is a penalty for that sin—death (Romans 6:23) and Hell (the second death - Revelation 21:8). How long does it take to tell someone that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, whom the Father sent into the world to suffer on the cross for the world's sins? That doesn't take very long! The Gospel is the Good News that Christ DIED on the cross for our sins, He was BURIED, and then He physically RESURRECTED three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Anyone who receives Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, believing that He was buried and raised up three days later, is saved. It's that easy, free and simple to be born-again!!! The way to be saved is to BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!!! You just read the Gospel in less than a minute!!!
