Ted & Alynn Pike's False Plan Of Salvation
By David J. Stewart | September 2014
1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
Our churches are under satanic attack by well-meaning, heretical, false teachers. So many people are confused, because our religious leaders are confused. Pastor Ted Pike is the son of Claude Pike, founder of the National Prayer Network (NPN). Admirably, Ted Pike has done much to oppose unconstitutional Hate Speech Laws which aims to silence fundamental Bible-believing Christians. There is no guarantee of liberty in life. We must fight to keep the freedoms that millions of Americans have fought to preserve. Freedom is the reward for making the right decisions, but when a nation repeatedly makes the wrong decisions in God's eyes, liberty is lost. The Bible teaches in 2nd Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” Consequently, where the spirit of Satan is there is Communism, tyranny and bondage.
Also, I agree with everything that I've heard Ted Pike teach about the unholy alliance between Christianity and Zionism. Pastor Ted Pike gives one of the best historical explanations I've ever heard of the “Mother of Harlots” in Revelation chapters 17 and 18 in a MP3 presentation titled, “Christianity and Zionism: Unholy Alliance.” Zionism is of the Devil, intended to unbiblical yoke together believing evangelical Christians with unbelieving, Christ-rejecting, heathen Israel. Although the nation of Israel itself is God's holy nation, the present unholy state of Israel is as apostate, satanic and blasphemous against Jesus Christ as can be! God promises to regather true Israel at Christ's Second Coming, the Revelation. Please read, “Satan's Counterfeit Israel, Antichrist And World Rule.”
Unfortunately, and I hate to refute people, Ted Pike and his wife Alynn teach a false plan of salvation. Most unsaved people have the wrong mindset that no one should put down anyone else's religion. They view the different religious faiths as a mere matter pf wearing different types of clothing, or one's choice of driving a motorcycle, muscle car or a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Biblically, Jesus exclaimed in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” There's only one way to eternal life and that is through faith alone in Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and raised up from the dead three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). If you've made that your personal hope for Heaven, then you are saved!
Ted Pike and his wife adamantly teach Lordship Salvation. Mrs. Alynn Pike states:
“Willingness towards Christ the Bible calls faith. Without such faith, until the moment of our death, Jesus warned we cannot go to Heaven. Christ said, 'He who overcomes, I will not remove his name from the Book of Life.' If we are willing to forsake all to follow Him, we have been converted, or born-again. But if we refuse to give all, the Bible calls such rebellion sin. If we sin, we will not only lose our place in Heaven, we will also lose courage to oppose evil here on earth. Today the Church is weak in the face of Zionist brainwashing and manipulation. This is a direct result of failure to trust in God alone.”

What you've just read ladies and gentlemen is a false plan of salvation. Alynn is wrongly dividing the Word of truth, to her own destruction. We don't get saved by overcoming; but rather, by placing our complete trust in the Lamb of God Who has overcome sin and death for us on the cross (Revelation 7:14; John 1:29). Revelation 2:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” The Bible plainly teaches in Scriptures such as Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” If Alynn is correct that to be saved we must “forsake all” and “follow Christ” faithfully “until the moment of our death,” then eternal life is a reward that requires human effort to attain, and is not a free gift which simply can be received by faith. Alynn is very wrong.
Pastor Ted Pike states on his website...
“only when we continuously seek God in sincere obedient faith do we attain salvation”
SOURCE: Biblical Answers (a quote from Pastor Ted Pike of the National Prayer Network)
Ted Pike totally misunderstands the concept of the imputed righteousness of God. Romans 4:5-6 teaches that A MAN'S FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS! That means you don't need any self-righteousness to be saved, and a good thing, because we don't have any to offer (Isaiah 64:6). The Bible says in Genesis 15:6 that Abraham's faith was COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Salvation is a new birth—a second, spiritual, birth (1st Peter 1:23). Pike views salvation as a process that requires a lifetime of faithfulness to attain. May I say, salvation is not achieved, it is received! Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Pike errantly recognizes church apathy and indifference as a problem with the Gospel; but the real problem is that Christian evangelicals have been hoodwinked and led astray by heretical televangelists such as John Hagee, Pat Robertson, Max Lucado, Billy Graham, Joel Osteen, John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, James Dobson, Franklin Graham, Don Stewart Mike Murdoch, Beth Moore and numerous others. Beware of any wayward minister who praises the present apostate state of Israel, requires following Christ or forsaking sin to be saved, denies the pretribulation Rapture, uses modern corrupted versions of the Bible, and supports heretics on salvation like John MacArthur and Billy Graham.
Easy Believism is Not the Problem
In his numerous writings on his website and in his film “Christianity and Zionism: Ungodly Alliance,” Ted blames the traditional evangelical Biblical teachings of an imminent pretribulation Rapture and easy-believism to be saved as being responsible for the lackadaisical and indifferent attitude of professed Christians toward the evils of Zionism. In fact, Ted and Alynn (who is now deceased sadly), both allege that the main reason why evangelicals have been duped by the unholy alliance between modern evangelicalism and Zionism is because they aren't really saved at all.
My friend, the fact that it is easy to be saved is not the problem. The problem is that America's preachers don't preach the truth anymore, so ungodly men and women are corrupting the simplicity that is in Christ by adding a changed life to childlike faith to be saved, which is a false plan of salvation. I've visited numerous Independent and Southern Baptist churches, and let me tell you, it is shameful what I have found. The average pastor is enamored with heretics like Rick Warren, Billy graham and John MacArthur.
These well-meaning men all pervert the Gospel and teach a satanic works-based false plan of salvation. They are teaching religion, not the Scriptures. Adding any amount of human effort to simple faith that Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried and raised up after three days later is a false Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). If you believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins and rose again, you are saved (1st Thessalonians 4:14). It's that simple. False prophets like Ted and Alynn Pike are trying to force believers to live right by corrupting the simple plan of salvation. It doesn't work that way.
There's nothing wrong with the Gospel, it is preachers who aren't right with God that is the problem. Our nation's church alters are empty because pastors don't preach right, and they don't preach right because their hearts are not right with God. Visit most Baptist churches today and you won't hear any mention of Hell, fire, eternal punishment or damnation from the pulpit. As a formality most pastors will give an invitation, but the alters are empty. That's because he doesn't preach right. Read this excellent work by Pastor Harry Ironside titled, “The Preaching That Produces Repentance.”
I dread pastors who give expository type sermons, dull and dry, never pounding the pulpit, never preaching against sin, never proclaiming the Second Coming of Christ, never putting anybody on the spot to make a decision, never getting excited, never talking about the power of the Holy Spirit, never letting 'er rip! Why would anyone respond to that? The church is spiritually dead, because the pulpit is dead, because the pastor is dead. I don't know about you, but I have a consuming fire burning in my soul... the Holy Spirit of God and the Word of God!
Jesus Christ Could Return at Any Moment!
Furthermore, although the word “Rapture” is not found in the Bible, the Scriptures plainly teach that the Lord will unexpectedly return and we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye (1st Corinthians 15:52). We will be “CAUGHT UP” to meet the Lord in the air (1st Thessalonians 4:17). This is the Rapture. Jesus plainly teaches...
Mark 13:32-37, “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
From reading the preceding precious passage of prophetic Scripture, it is abundantly clear to see that the Lord's return will be a surprise, unexpected and without warning. The Bible even tells us the purpose for this unannounced return of Christ, which is to keep us on our toes doing the Master's bidding until He returns. How in the world can Pastor Ted Pike, Pastor Steve Anderson and others say that the Lord Jesus Christ couldn't return at any time? Radio host Alex Jones at infowars.com is not a preacher, so I cut him some slack for denying the pretribulation Rapture (he is sincere but doesn't know any better), but preachers have no excuse!
If nothing else, Mark 13:32-37 by itself teaches a pretribulation Rapture, because any other timing of Christ's return for the saints removes the element of surprise. Many apostate ministers are bashing the pretribulation Rapture as being the cause of Christians not caring enough to fight the New World Order. The truth is that even if there were no Rapture, the Bible prophecies that World Government will happen, whether we fight it or not. We may be able to thwart Communism for a generation or two, but we cannot stop the New World Order. It will happen, the Bible foretells it!
Do you see what is happening? Men are usurping the place of God, taking matters into their own hands. When they see professed Christians living in sin, they corrupt the gospel message by adding “forsaking sin” as a requirement to be saved. When they see professed Christians who won't fight the New World Order, they corrupt the Scriptures by saying that “Christ couldn't possibly return at any moment”[1] as the Bible teaches. By denying the imminent return of Christ, they're trying to convince complacent believers that they will suffer through the Tribulation, so they had better start caring and standing up against the Illuminati. The truth is that God is still on His throne. Men cannot do anything without God's permission and the power to do so.
I did not write this article to attack Ted Pike, God forbid. Rather, I am obligated as a born-again Christian to contend for the Christian faith. The Bible does not require us to follow Christ, surrender all, nor remain faithful until our death to be saved. That is works-salvation. It appears that Ted Pike is confused between Jacob Arminius and John Calvin. Calvin taught a heresy called “The Perseverance of the Saints,” which is exactly what Ted and Alynn Pike are teaching. They errantly teach that you can only be saved if you persevere until the end. The truth is that both Calvin and Arminius were doctrinally flawed, although I agree with Arminius far more than Calvin. I disagree with all 5-points of Calvinism. As Christians, let us follow the Word of God, not doctrinally flawed men.
Dr. Mark G. Cambron Has it 100% Correct On Repentance
Here is an excellent and needful writing by Dr. Mark G. Cambron (1911-2000) on the subject of REPENTANCE. Please read the following quote carefully, because Dr. Cambron is one of few theologian who gets it, that is, he understands the simplicity of the Gospel and that repentance does not mean turning from sin as proponents of Lordship Salvation foolishly teach.
Here is what the Bible teaches, as explained by Dr. Cambron...
Repentance is necessary for salvation.
The Greek word for repent is metanoeo, which, translated into English is: to change ones mind. It does not mean to turn from sin. That would add works to salvation.
Repentance for salvation means a change of mind from men's ideas of salvation and religion, to an acceptance of Gods only way of salvation.
This results in a completely new creation, not a reformation of the old. The old nature remains as evil as ever after salvation and has not been reformed . . . The old nature can now be controlled by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.
God guarantees salvation. This is His gift to us.
God guarantees reward and fruit to the obedient son.
God guarantees chastening and loss of rewards to the disobedient son.
God does not cast out disobedient children, but in some cases, does take them home. He does not permit His children to live as they please without His discipline and guidance.
Many teach repentance for salvation incorrectly, by including some form of human effort or righteousness, such as willingness to turn from sin, or turning from sin. This is heresy and has confused many people. It adds works to salvation and causes many to not understand Gods great gift. It is probation, not salvation. It is completely unscriptural. It is Galatianism and a counterfeit of the gospel.
It is a tragedy that many Christians live shallow Christian lives. The Cambron Institute is dedicated to the task of training Christian men and women in the importance of total dedication and making Jesus the Lord of their lives not to be saved but because they are saved.
Shallow Christianity cannot be cured by adding works to salvation.
Salvation is not the result of what we do, but is by receiving what God has done for us. Acts 13:38, 39; Acts 20:20: Gal. 1:8,9; Gal. 2:4; Gal. 2:21; Gal. 3:1.3; Gal. 5:1-4; Eph. 2:8-10; II Cor. 5:21;John 3:16-18; Phil. 3:9; Titus 3:5-8:11 Cor. 11:13-1 5.SOURCE: The Cambron Institute
The bottom line to Ted and Alynn Pike's teaching on salvation is that you cannot come to Christ for salvation unless you first intend to forsake all and follow Christ until the day that you die. This is “qualification by works” as a prerequisite for receiving Christ as Savior. Pike and his wife are teaching utter heresy, a false plan of salvation... “ANOTHER GOSPEL.”
“It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.” ―Mark Twain
Charles Spurgeon On Repentance
Some Bible teachers like John MacArthur and Ray Comfort have attempted to misquote Charles Spurgeon to support their Lordship Salvation heresy; but they need to keep reading Spurgeon's sermons, because Charles Spurgeon clearly DIDN'T believe in giving up sins to be saved...
"You must not expect that you will be perfect in "repentance" before you are saved. No Christian can be perfect. "Repentance" is a grace. Some people preach it as a condition of salvation. Condition of nonsense! There are no conditions of salvation. God gives the salvation himself..." — Charles Spurgeon
SOURCE: Charles Spurgeon, sermon: REPENTANCE UNTO LIFE, [http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0044.htm (from a sermon preached at the New Park Street Chapel, Southwark, on September 23, 1855)]
Clearly, Charles Haddon Spurgeon DIDN'T believe that forsaking one's sins, or grieving, or feeling sorrow, or being willing to turn from them, was necessary to be saved.
Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Mark 1:15: “...repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
“The undermining power of sin is always the cause of decay and deterioration in earthly kingdoms.”

(We ought to work even harder as we see the end years of our life approaching)“You show me a person to whom Heaven becomes real, and this Book becomes real, and God becomes real, and Hell becomes real, and salvation becomes real, and I'll show you a person that will so much the more serve God as he sees the day approaching!” —Pastor Jack Hyles, a quote from the awesome MP3 sermon titled, “So Much The More As Ye See The Day Approaching.”
