2nd Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Our text passage of Holy Scripture (the King James Bible) teaches us that
all of God's words are inspired, and that they will do FOUR things for the
Christian believer:
- DOCTRINE - Shows us the right path
- REPROOF - Shows us when we're getting off the right path
- CORRECTION - Shows us how to get back on the right path
- INSTRUCTION - Shows us how to stay on the right path
Carefully notice dear reader that the Bible says in verse 17 that these four things “PERFECT” (or COMPLETE) the Christian! Thus, you don't need Christian daily devotionals. Now, I am not against reading them, but you are taking the low path when compared to the eternal words of almighty God. Remember, devotionals are based upon what SOMEONE ELSE gleaned from reading the Word of God. You are eating their leftovers!
John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Jesus said that His words are SPIRIT and they are LIFE. That claim cannot be said about anything ever authored by mortal man! I marvel that so many preachers today buy into the Devil's lie that the King James Bible is not inspired. Are you kidding me? Not inspired? Good night in the morning folks! Of course the Word of God is inspired, and it always has been inspired, and it always will be inspired!!!
If God's words are not inspired, then they are not God's words! I am sick of hearing this garbage about God's words being “preserved,” but only the “originals” were inspired. Huh? That makes no sense at all! If inspiration only refers to the initial process of God breathing out His eternal words to humanity, then that is confusing, because THEY ARE STILL GOD'S WORDS!!! I mean, the whole idea of inspiration is that God breathed His words to men, and they are immortal words, not mortal. So to claim that those eternal words have been preserved for us today, but deny their inspiration, is ludicrous, because inspiration means those words CAME FROM GOD! So if they are still from God, they MUST be inspired!
The inspired Word of God will show us the right path, show us when we're getting off the right path, show us how to get back on the right path, and show us how to stay on the right path! Amen and amen!
