The Dead End Of Worldliness, Money And Sin

Ecclesiastes 1:2, “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”

       As I was driving around the other day, I passed by numerous signs that read “DEAD END.” That means that the road completely stops, comes to a sudden end, and you cannot go any further.

My friend, sin is a DEAD END! The world is a DEAD END! Living for money is a DEAD END! Pursuing money and a career is a DEAD END! Pursuing money can only get you so far along in life, and then the road will suddenly come to an abrupt end. As this life comes to an end, so also will the temporal things of this life. Living for the pleasures of sin can only last so long, until your health fails, or our bodies return to the dust from which they came.

The Old Testament writer and worldly wise king, Solomon, said in Ecclesiastes that ALL IS VANITY!!! Ecclesiastes 1:2, “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.” Solomon realized that everything in this life is a DEAD END. All of Solomon's wisdom, hard work and achievements would be left to someone else, someone who perhaps wouldn't be wise...

Ecclesiastes 2:18-19, “Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me. And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool?...”

All of Solomon's labours were left to his arrogant son Rehoboam, who foolishly ran the kingdom into the ground. Solomon's fears came to fruition. The nation of Israel became divided. Ten tribes of Jews journeyed north (Samaria) with Jeroboam; but two tribes (the Levites and Benjamites) remained in the south (Judah) with Rehoboam. An easy way to remember this Biblical history is to say that Jeroboam journeyed, but Rehoboam remained. Solomon knew that all his worldly achievements were a big DEAD END. Solomon couldn't take any of his wealth, labours or accomplishments with him into eternity. And may I say my friend, neither can you. What's the use of laying up worldly wealth, assets and treasures? It's a dead end.

Wealth is a DEAD END! Countless rich people die and leave behind massive financial estates. Yet, not one penny can help them in eternity. God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). Accumulation of wealth means absolutely nothing to the Lord God. Psalms 51:17, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” God has a broken heart over sin and unbelief and so should we as believers.

Some men live their entire lives in unbelief and sin; yet foolishly think that God will pardon them because they leave hundreds-of-millions of dollars in their estate to charity. You cannot buy the stairway to Heaven as Led Zeppelin sings. It's Jesus or Hell. You can buy your way into Hell with your sins, but you cannot buy God or Heaven. We are living in a selfish generation. We are living in perilous (hard to endure) times of wicked and unreasonable people. Many people are belligerent, arrogant, lacking compassion or genuine care. All they do is make excuses, live for their own ambitions, whose god is their belly. They have a form of religion, but deny the saving-power of the gospel. Most people are covetous, greedy and reckless these days. We see people covered in tattoos, addicted to recreational drugs, boozing and killing themselves slowly with tobacco, defiling their bodies and heading for an early grave. The Bible teaches that the Christian's body belongs to God, and that the Lord's Holy Spirit lives within our body, making us His holy temple (1st Corinthians 3:16-17). May we always remember that important Biblical truth.

Psalms 73:12, “Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.”

Isn't that something? All those famous celebrities are dead, many for decades; yet, their worldly works are still generating millions of dollars in financial profits. Tragically, they're all burning in Hell. Michael Jackson is dead, but his music still made $200,000,000 in 2011 alone. Michael Jackson was a lifelong demonic Jehovah's Witness, but then his brother converted him over to the Islamic Muslim religion a year before his death. Both religions are satanic. Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's) teach a works-based false plan of salvation. JW's also deny Christ's bodily resurrection, a literal Hell, a literal Heaven, Christ's deity, the Godhead, the person of the Holy Spirit and other fundamental Bible doctrines. And of course, pagan Islamic Muslims deny that Jesus ever even died on the cross. Islam is of the Devil. Sadly, Michael Jackson is burning in hellfire this moment.

Hell hath enlarged herself as Isaiah 5:14 says, filled with Christ-rejecting men, women and youth. If you don't believe in Hell, that doesn't mean you won't go there. Revelation 21:8 lists the people who are going to be cast into the Lake of Fire, which burns with fire and brimstone, the second death. The first group of hellbound sinners on the list are UNBELIEVERS!!! All of Michael Jackson's exceptional talent, unsurpassed worldly fame and massive financial wealth cannot profit him one iota in eternity. Jackson's estate profited an additional 200 million dollars just in 2011, yet not one penny can buy Jackson's soul out of the fires of Hell. Money cannot buy anyone Heaven. Wealth nor talent can purchase the forgiveness of sins. Only by faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ can anyone be forgiven. That's what going to Heaven is all about, that is, getting your sins forgiven. Jesus said in John 3:1-7... YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!! There is no other way of salvation (Acts 4:10-12).

RELIGION IS A DEAD END!!!

No one does religion like Roman Catholicism. From the cradle-to-the-casket, Catholicism has a religious package for you. I am saddened that over one billion Catholics have bought into the Devil's lie that religion can save them. Catholics are errantly taught by the Vatican, pope and priests that the Catholic church is the Body of Christ, and that water baptism is the door into the Lord's body. In sharp contrast, the Bible teaches that the Church is NOT the Body of Christ. Every born-again individual believer comprises the Body of Christ, which has never been gathered in history. At the pretribulation Rapture, the Body of Christ will be assembled as a family for the first time in history. But for the moment, believers meet together in local new Testament churches.

There is no such thing as the “universal church” (which is what the term “Catholic” means). The door into the Body of Christ is by becoming a born-again Christian, which can only happen by each individual placing his or her faith in Christ's death, burial and literal, bodily, physical, resurrection from the dead three days later. JESUS IS RISEN!!!

Religion is man's way, but the Bible is God's way. Religion wants to fit us with glasses so we'll see through their perspective, but the Lord wants to open our eyes with the truth. Religion without the gospel is religious humanism. 2nd Timothy 3:5 warns against religious people who deny the power of the gospel. Romans 1:16 teaches that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to them that believe. Listen my friend... LIFE IS VERY SHORT!!!

Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Salvation is NOT found in a religion; but rather, in a Person—The Lord Jesus Christ!!!


LIFE IS A DEAD END!!!

One day you're 15 years old. Then you're 16. The next year you're 17, then 18. Before you know it you're 25, and then 35, and then one day, Lord willing, you wake up and you're 65!!!

Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.”

Most people don't realize how short life is, which is why they don't do more for God. Do you know what a mid-life crisis is? It's when you wake-up one day and realize that you're 38 or 42 years old and haven't done anything meaningful with your life. You're just getting older and older!!! One of the dumbest things I've heard in life is that you're only as old as you think you are. That's dumb!!! The truth is that you're as old as you are. If you're 30, then you're 30. You may be a good 40, but you're still 40! If you're 50, you're 50! If you're 70, you're 70. Life is short, get on the ball!!! LIFE IS SHORT!!! What are you doing for God? What are you doing to help others in Jesus' name? So many young people just want to get that money and that car, but you had better remember God! REMEMBER GOD IN YOUR YOUTH!!!

Life in itself is a DEAD END. If all you do is live to eat, drink and be merry, then you are going down a dead end street. It's all going to suddenly come to an end one day, and you'll be sorry in eternity. Living a carnal, secular, life is a DEAD END. The greatest things in life aren't things! Only one life 'twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last!

WORLDLINESS IS A DEAD END!!!

Most people wait until they're old and then bring God nothing but leftovers. God deserves better than our leftovers. Don't bring God withered flowers. The average teenager today has earplugs stuffed in their ears. They're head is in the clouds. YOU HAD BETTER REMEMBER WHO GOD IS!!! You cannot stay right with God and listen to dirty music. The world's music is so filthy.

I rented a car recently and pushed the “scan” button, which keeps searching the radio channels until you find one that you like, and then you press the button again if you want to hear that particular song. As I searched through the channels, I heard some horrible lyrics, became disgusted and turned it off. The following are lyrics from various popular mainstream songs in America. These are popular songs that are played all across the United States tens-of-thousands of times every single day, year-after-year, decade-after-decade in nearly every workplace, restaurant and business...

There are thousands of perverted songs in our degenerate America culture. No wonder everything is so immoral. Our American culture is so perverted. No wonder our society is so depraved with sexual immorality, that's all people sing about these days. Americans worship the body and sex! All of the sexfomercials on TV are corrupting our society. You cannot have a sinful society that sinfully promotes wickedness... singing about sexual immorality, joking about sexual immorality, acting out sexual immorality in Hollywood movies, and then actually expect people to behave decently, morally and respectably. Sex sells and the United States is a mega-superstore of shame!!!

Sexual lusts are a DEAD END. Bodily pleasures can only last until the body grows old, diseased or broken and dead. But then comes the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Sin is always a DEAD END. That's why the Bible says in Hebrews 11:25 that Moses chose “rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” You can only enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, because life is short; but then we must give account “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). Most people don't take the fear of God seriously, but we all should. Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”


You've Got Your Second Chance Now, Don't Blow It!

When we are all dead and in eternity, most people will be horrified to find out that God and the Bible are 100% completely true and real, and they died in their sins and unbelief. Oh, how they will weep bitter tears of regret, marveling how they shunned, scorned and mocked the precious and inspired Words of God in the King James Bible their entire life. They will realize it's too late and there will be NOTHING they can do about it, although they'd be willing to give everything they ever had in life for just a second chance to repent toward God and get saved by faith in Christ Jesus.

I was listening to the Bible on my portable DVD player as I was driving around this week. It's by Alexander Scourby. I have the entire King James Bible on just one DVD. That's amazing! Anyway, I heard king David say in Psalms 14:2-3, “The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” That sure sounds like America today! We are all gone aside! We are all together become filthy! We have sinned America!!! Why should God bless us? If you are not saved, get saved, now! I meet so many people who won't get saved because they say they've got sin in their life. I tell them that they don't have to give up anything to be saved; but rather, Jesus gave up everything to save us. Yet, they will not come to Christ to be saved, because the Bible says in John 3:20 that they don't want to be reproved by God for their sins. They love sin and don't want anything messing it up for them. They know that coming to Christ to be forgiven means to address the very sins that they are deliberately committing, enjoying and have no intentions of stopping. Thus, they WON'T come to Jesus to be saved. It's not that Christ won't save them; but rather, they won't come to Christ to be saved. John 5:40, “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”

ALL IS VANITY! DON'T GO DOWN A DEAD END!!!

I don't know about you, but I don't like going down dead end streets. I like to be free to keep going and enjoy the ride. Thank God, eternal life continues for ever! If you've received the gospel as full-payment for your sins, then you are saved! You have eternal life now, presently, already! I am alive forevermore because I have been born-again. The Holy Spirit lives in my body and cannot perish, so neither will I. Life is found only by faith in Jesus, the Christ. Everything that this world has to offer is a DEAD END! Sin must end. Wealth must end. Health must end. Earthly security cannot last. We all will die, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). We all have an appointment with death (Hebrews 9:23).

Preaching about death, sin, judgment and Hell are very unpopular these days. You'll never hear Joel Osteen and most other televangelists preach on these topics. They just want your support and money. Wickedness abounds everywhere these days. The world is a filthy place of evil, shadiness and rebellion against God. Everything has gotten so corrupt, evil and bad nowadays. Television is just waxing worse-and-worse. Women are taking off more-and-more clothes. Potty humor is all over TV these days, teaching our youth to be rude, lewd, nude and crude. TV's late night shows are as Godless, filthy and sexually perverted as ever. It's one filthy gesture, whore and remark after another, promoting homosexuality and every form of perversion under the sun. The wicked are praised and exalted, and evil men walk about on every side, excusing their wickedness...

Romans 2:15, “Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.”

The heathen world condemns Jimmy Swaggert for his one adultery, but excuses Gene Simmons for his 10,000 adulteries. Jim Bakker of the PTL Club gets crucified for unfaithfulness, but Neal Schon of Journey gets a free pass. Pete Townshend of The Who goes free in London for 7,000 images of child p@rn, but an award-winning Arizona school teacher gets 200 years in prison for 20 photos. That's the world's twisted system of justice! Meanwhile, perverted and wicked, greedy, creeps are legally allowed to promote and sell the vilest sexually-perverted, indecent, lascivious, trash on television in sexfomercials. And garbage, unisex, lesbian, weirdo, rebels like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry are promoted to our youth as role models, corrupting their morals. It's a sicko world!!! It's all a DEAD END! The world and the lusts thereof will soon pass away (1st John 2:15-17). The wicked shall be turned into Hell (Psalms 9:17).

Praise God, serving the Lord is not a dead end. Getting saved lasts forever and we will enjoy Heaven. Jesus told us in Matthew 6:20 to lay up for OURSELVES treasures in Heaven. I don't know about you, but I want to have lots of nice things in Heaven. I want to have lots of really nice musical instruments, an angel band and opportunities to share my music with others. I believe the Lord will far surpass my greatest desires. Romans 8:32 promises that God, Who gave up His only begotten Son, will gladly also give us ALL THINGS. The fact that the Bible teaches for believers to lay up for them self heavenly rewards, reveals that some Christians will have more rewards in eternity than others. Daniel 12:3 teaches that some believers will shine as the brightness of the stars in eternity, for turning many to the righteousness which is of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing the wicked world at their funerals talk about how everyone automatically goes to Heaven. Nothing could be further from the truth of God's Word!!! If you die in your sins without Jesus as your personal Savior, you are doomed to eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. It's too late to get saved once your dead bodily, your eternal fate is sealed. Please don't delay in coming to Christ if you've never been saved. The gospel is simple. You are a sinner, and so am I. God in His unconditional love sent His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins. Jesus died, was buried and then resurrected from the dead after three days for our justification (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). If you come as a guilty sinner and make the gospel your hope for Heaven, you are saved. If you receive the gospel as full-payment for your sins, then you are immediately and forever saved. Don't add anything to what Christ has done for you to pay for your sins with His blood. We are saved by God's righteousness through faith in Christ; and not by our own works or self-righteousness. We are saved by HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!

2nd Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

There are no dead ends in Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is about God's righteousness in Christ Jesus; and not about our own self-righteousness, which means nothing to God (Isaiah 64:6). Our best isn't good enough. God is holy (morally perfect) and we are sinners by nature and birth. Even one sin can keep us from going to Heaven. That's why Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a debt that we could not pay.

I believe it is abundantly clear that we are now living in the end-times. The homosexualization of the world is strong evidence of the end-times. Shameful Lesbian And Sodomite Same-Sex Marriages Now Legal In New Zealand. The widespread perverting of the Bible with umpteen new versions is evidence of the end-times. The saber-rattling of the nations, and the Middle-East build-up is evidence of the end-times. The Lord foretold that sexual immorality would once again become epidemic in the end times, as it was in the days of Noah. Luke 17:27, “...They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day...” They were going from one failed marriage to another, not even trying to work out their marriage problems.

This is America today. Divorce is the heathen world's solution to marital difficulties. If you're pregnant, the Godless world says to have an abortion and kill the baby. If you're depressed, the Devil's crowd gives you a bunch of drugs to swallow. If you want to have fun, the Devil hands you some booze to get you drunk. The heathen world esteems everything according to how much money they stand to gain. It is wicked. As Christians, our minds ought to be consumed with getting people saved, leading lost souls to Jesus Christ. That's what is most important to God. I get disgusted when I meet people who are desperate to make money.

Luke 17:26-27, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”
